What is this?

In an industry as complex and fast-moving as ours, educators are often undervalued.

We’re looking to do more to support those who advance freedom and self-sovereignty through the adoption of blockchain technologies by dedicating their time to educating and informing others.

We want to support not only those who share knowledge of zkSync and its underlying technology, but other L2s, Ethereum, and crypto as a whole.

To this end, Matter Labs is launching an advocate program to provide dedicated resources to this community.

zkSync Advocates are volunteers who help grow and advocate for freedom achieved through advancements in decentralized technology and help provide the information required for ecosystem participants to make informed decisions that help shape our shared future.

What do Advocates do?

Unlike a traditional job or volunteering position with strict requirements and responsibilities, zkSync Advocates have the autonomy and freedom to contribute value in whatever way they choose. Matter Labs will not instruct advocates on what to do or how to do it, but instead look for these community leaders to take ownership and forge their own path, supporting them in whatever ways we can.

The ways in which Advocates contribute is limited only by creativity, but commonly include:

• Content Production: hosting a podcast, tweeting, producing how-to guides, writing blogs and articles, creating videos, making memes & infographics, translating and sharing content, creating courses, improving documentation, building tools or applications, etc.
• Community Building: hosting in-person and online events/workshops, building new language or topic-focused community groups, developer advocacy, answering community questions, facilitating introductions to ecosystem participants, and more.
