Respect, empathy, and kindness

We treat each other with respect, empathy and kindness. We assume good intentions.

There is a popular misconception that kindness and high performance teams are incompatible: “it’s either whiplash or kumbaya”. This is not true. Being kind does not mean being less demanding or tolerating sloppiness, but rather seeing a person and a fellow human being in your coworker first. We all have our ups and downs.

We approach all of our public communications in a polite and compassionate way, even when our counterparts don’t deserve respect. Irony and playfulness is welcome, while sarcasm is rarely appropriate.

We don’t engage in any form of activism or political discussions that might distract or divide us. We keep discussions free from divisive topics like religion, sex, and politics.
