We want people to take enough time away from work to stay healthy, motivated, and engaged. We value employees for what they contribute, not for how much they work.
To live our values of freedom and ownership, and for the sake of fairness (we employ people from many countries), our vacation policy is flexible. This means that everyone is free to choose how much time they take off. How you balance your work contributions with time spent away will depend on your projects and the needs of your team. Like our policy on flexible weekly work hours, this policy is based on trust and goodwill.
You are free to observe the national holidays in your country or work on those days and take a longer vacation instead. You will be required to log any days off in our HRIS.
We want to ensure that folks have the time and resources to bond with their family's new member(s). We aim for a global workforce where employees are on equal footing. Therefore, our parental leave benefit is the same across all countries where we hire.
As such, we offer 16 weeks of paid time off for all parents of new children. This applies to a child's birth, adoption, or foster care placement. The employee might choose to take the parental leave in up to 3 increments within the first year of birth/adoption.
Note: This benefit is not meant to replace the local statutory requirements of the respective jurisdiction where the beneficiary is based, but to be supplementary.
