We use Linear and Notion for all knowledge sharing and project management. For the sake of transparency and cooperation, please don't keep things in your head or in external notebooks.
For each feature, issue, or idea, there must be a Linear task. We follow the Linear Method.
- Linear is really fast and works offline, so there shouldn't be any barrier in creating tasks.
- For new tasks, please use "Incoming" status, and the team lead will prioritize them by adding them to a project.
See Matter Labs Dev Handbook for more on how our tech team works.
For everything else, please use Notion.
- Information should be structured hierarchically in such a way that every topic has exactly one place where it belongs — it must be easy to find past work on any topic top-down by following the knowledge base hierarchy in a structured manner.
- Notion is reasonably fast. If we find something faster with offline support, we can replace it.
Language
The official communication language for Linear, Notion, Github, and any official docs is English.
